Engelberg, Switzerland: Skiing & Snowboarding

Over the long Christmas weekend, we took a train from Lyon to Switzerland and visited four Swiss cities / towns.

The highlight of the trip was our day on Mount Titlis in Engelberg.

Aidil tried skiing for the first time whereas my siblings decided to try to snowboard.

The keywords are "try / tried".

Actually, we were quite hopeless save for my brother who is naturally athletic and has good coordination and sense of balance.

Failed attempt at skiing on Mount Titlis

The rest of us were falling all over ourselves on the starter lane.

On Mount Titlis

It was so frigidly cold on Mount Titlis.

We didn't realise it at first but we were actually skiing and snowboarding in the clouds.

When we took the gondola from the highest point of Mount Titlis, we saw clouds gathered right over the area where we had skiied.

Really awesome.

The higher up we went, the sunnier the area was.

IMG_0940

Feels surreal to look down at the clouds.

Super gorgeous.

Mount Titlis is over 3000 metres above sea level.

I loved the gondola ride.

An unbeatable experience.

Who's afraid of heights? Aidil! Haha.
